I am not a poet (Love Poem)

I am not a Poet…if I was,
Would consult the most precious archives of my heart,
Where all my loving, soothing and caring words are hidden,
Would pick up those, never been told to any one,
As that is how you have touched my life….
Would write you a Love poem,
Would recite it in front of the masses, but
Only you  would understand it, as it would be from
A special place in my heart,
Where only you have been

I am not an Angel… if I was, I would ask God,
 To bless everything you bless,
 To protect you against any harm,
 To bring a smile on your face each and every morning,
 To give you a reason to wake up,
 To make your winters very short so that you can embrace your summers,
 To take you places where you thought you’ll never be,
 To show you what I see in you,

 I am not a Winner...if I was, I would have,
Won your favour first day you lay your eyes on me,
Won your smile first time your eyes met my eyes,
Won your friendship first time you heard my voice,
Won your love first time you felt my love,

I am not Alive…If I was, I would
Wake up next to you every day of my life,
Would fight with you for not making our bed properly,
Would hold your hand whenever I want to,
Would smile with you just for no reason,
Would  sit with you in silence, knowing that we are fine,
Would tell you I love you at any given time, as I need to tell you,
Would look at you and you’ll know what I’m about to say,
Would love you, without any pain in my heart,

As I have said I am not a Poet, an Angel, a Winner or Alive…
I am just a Soul that fell in love with another Soul,
Nothing else has mattered since then...
I am just a woman with hopes and dreams,
Maybe you are my Dream

As I have said … I am not a Poet, an Angel, a Winner or Alive…
I am Lover though, that is what I do best
That is what keeps me going, loving you
Maybe you are my Love…

As I have said … I am not a Poet, an Angel, a Winner or Alive…
These are just words that comes to my mind each time
I think of you, when I see you, when I think of a Miracle

Amazing Grace                                         Here we go again... It’s been six months since I took time to write in this space, and I haven’t been too active in any social media platform, I guess I needed some time to reflect without all the pressures that comes with exposing one's life. For me 2016, was a year to learn, more especial in terms of developing my business. Though there isn’t much to show for that, but I’m happy with the business person I gave become. We however closed in a “low" with my family as we lost a loved one again. This blog is however not about the pain and challenges that we went through in the past year. Count Your Blessings...             You will be so amazed! I can still remember clearly the Sunday I opened my eyes and felt grateful and so much peace in my heart. I felt love and I thought I was dreaming. I called out “Sthandwasami”, and there was no response, looked at my wall, saw the picture of my dream home still there, surely I am not inside it, then I listened for some cartoon sounds, and heard none, again surely there is no child in the house… I was even tempted to go to the garage to check if my dream car was there…but I was starting to realise that nothing had changed, it was my life as I knew it. Then I wondered why? Why I felt so happy and at peace? As I pulled my blankets, I couldn’t help but feel the cold breeze and I realised that I had been warm the whole time, I was under blankets and was warm the whole night. See the Light

If I can start to share what has transpired since the last time I was on this platform, it would take me a very long time to get to the point that has  brought me here today.  I might have mentioned how life has humbled me, but I dont think it meant what it means righr now.  I might have mentioned how grateful I was, but I had no clue it felt this way. I am grateful for the beautiful light in my life, as it always direct me to a place of peace , place of love and contentment .  Life is seasonal, when its winter in your life, take note and get ready for your summer, make sure that during your summer season you gather enough warrmth so that, your winter season do not affect you.  I have been through all seasons, and my winter decided to drag a bit longer. It fooled me to believe that I am hopeless and the darkness was here to stay.  I totally forgot that, everything in life flows, nothing remain the same... and the pain and fear can never last forever.
